Happiness should never be an absolute target but rather a satisfying by-product of everything else going well.

Happiness and well being questionnaires and surveys, however, are a useful measure to ascertain the effectiveness of interventions. Over a 3 1/2 month period we worked on a one to one basis with a senior executive using our evidence based coaching techniques to target specific needs in the area of: self awareness, resilience, engagement and self esteem. The results were dramatic. Over the period survey results went from 3.0 to 4.4 on the Oxford Happiness Survey. Most importantly, whilst the executive recognises that his life is still stressful, demanding and lacks time to do everything he wants to get done, he feels he now has a toolkit and a road forward.
