We worked with a start up company to assess potential first line managers from a small group of analysts. We used Saville Wave and in an incredibly short space of time analysed roles, undertook interviews, advised the CEO and HRD and provided our recommendation. The recommended candidate challenged existing assumptions as he hadn’t been seen as the natural successor. Where we really added value was going beyond the brief – identifying risks for the future and pointing out the need to broaden existing recruitment processes.

In the end all candidates were given lengthy feedback and coaching on areas to work on. Most importantly, whilst there was only one team manager vacancy, all candidates found their niche and happily settled into their new roles, including the team manager who is currently doing very well and continuing to surprise everyone.
